A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

In case you have a web hosting with us and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a given email mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally only a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in the account. You can pick one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button again will disable the catch-all feature. If you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning notification and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated effortlessly if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a mini sign handily situated directly next to each one. With just one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature through the context menu that will appear. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
